LUCENA CITY — Classes in public and private schools in Laguna province were suspended on Tuesday afternoon until Wednesday (Oct. 22 and 23) due to bad weather brought by Tropical Storm Kristine.phlucky casino

Gov. Ramil Hernandez issued the order on his Facebook page at around 11:30 a.m. He cited the latest weather bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued at 11 a.m. that placed Laguna under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.

“Everyone is advised to follow instructions from the local government if evacuation is necessary in your area. Please stay safe and pray for everyone’s safety,” Hernandez said.

He said the emergency hotlines of the provincial government were open 24 hours for those in need of immediate assistance, rescue, or to report flooded areas or any incidents.

The Pagasa, in its latest bulletin, said Kristine was last located 335 kilometers east over the coastal waters of Virac, Catanduanes with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and gustiness of up to 80 kph.
